Join History and Horror Tours as we investigate one of Scotland’s most haunted locations, Castle Menzies.

With such a dark and, at times, gruesome past, we dare to ask what tales these empty corridors and shadowed rooms tell. We have been running regular events at this incredible Castle over many years with guests witnessing a plethora of strange paranormal activity, ranging from large orbs seen with the naked eye, to shadow figures, disembodied voices and footsteps, clothes or hair being pulled and even full bodied apparitions.

As we near Samhain, and the veil between the worlds of the living and the dead starts to thin, will the spirits said to haunt these ancient stone walls reach out to us?

• This tour is for 16yrs+ (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult)

• This is an old building which can get cold at night. Please wear sensible footwear and dress accordingly.

Hot drinks will be available but we also recommend you bring some cold drinks and snacks with you.

*Please note; we want you to enjoy your night, but if any group or individual seems under the influence of alcohol/substances and/or is

disruptive, they will be asked to leave the event.

FAQS

Is there a minimum age requirement for this event?

Although we recommend 18yrs+, guests 16yrs+ are welcome when accompanied by an adult.

Please note that younger people may get cold or scared. If so please think about other paying guests at the event and of your teen’s welfare.

If the event is already underway tickets cannot be refunded. If our guide or the castle manager feels that your young person is too frightened, you will be asked to leave as we have no desire to traumatise anybody.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Castle Menzies, stands in Weem, a couple of miles from Aberfeldy, Perthshire. It is easily accessible by car or bicycle with parking onsite and for those inclined, it is a beautiful walk if you leave plenty of time, though very dark and isolated late at night.

What can I bring into the event?

Guests are welcome to bring their own torches as long as they are switched off when required.

We are happy for photographs to be taken throughout the event. In fact, we actively encourage it!

If you fancy yourself as the next Yvette Fielding or Maurice Grosse, you are welcome to bring any handheld equipment such as EMF meters, recording equipment, thermometers and cameras. However, we ask that you label or mark them to distinguish them from any equipment belonging to other investigators.

What's the refund policy?

The booking fee is non-refundble. Refunds can only be given up until a week before the event (before midnight on 26th September) unless the tour is cancelled by History and Horror Tours.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, a digital version on your mobile device is fine.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes. If for any reason you can't join us we will happily welcome somebody else in your place.
