About the event

By day a scene of romantic beauty, yet by night a dark, forbidding place. Join us as we explore Castle Menzies, a location steeped in the history, superstition and lore of the highland Clans and their bloodsoaked lands. The Castle’s restless spirits a re said to often make their presence felt!

Join us and a team of experienced ghost hunters as we investigate a location with a reputation for being one of the most haunted in Scotland, and so active the Spooked Scotland Team were severely affected!

Recently seen on ‘Susan Calman’s Grand Day Out‘ (Ch5) and ‘Spooked Scotland’ (Really TV, Discovery+).

*Warning: This site has a reputation of being an active paranormal location, therefore this event is not for the faint-hearted.

* This event is for 18yrs+

*Please wear sensible footwear and dress accordingly, the castle can get very cold.

*Please note; we want you to enjoy your night, but if any group or an individual seems under the influence of alcohol and/or is disruptive they may be asked to leave the event at the descretion of the History and Horror Tours guides, or the Castle manager. Abusive behaviour will not be tolerated.

If there are not enough tickets for the booking you are trying to make please get in touch, there may still be spaces available.

No ouija boards allowed. We do not use them during our events and they are not allowed in to the Castle.

Doors open at 8pm, we begin at 8.30pm.

We often have some merch and gifts available, so if you might like to bring some cash. Our card machine relies on wifi, which is unpredictible in the Highlands!

FAQs

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

Due to the nature of this event, it is ABSOLUTELY not suitable for children. (yeah, we probably shouldn’t need to say it but you’d be surprised!) This event is only for 18yrs+ .

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Castle Menzies, stands in Weem, a couple of miles from Aberfeldy, Perthshire. It is easily accessible by car or bicycle with parking onsite. For those inclined, it is a beautiful walk if you leave plenty of time, but some sections are unlit. Aberfeldy Taxi's can be found online.

What can I bring into the event?

Please bring your own torches. You are welcome to bring your own equipment such as EMF meters, thermometers and cameras, however, no Ouija boards. You may also use recording equipment (audio or video). You may bring snacks! There will be a break when tea, coffee and biscuits will be made available.

What's the refund policy?

Refunds can not be given unless the event is cancelled by History and Horror Tours or Castle Menzies.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, a digital version on your mobile device is fine.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Yes. If for any reason you can't join us we will happily welcome somebody else in your place as long as they are 18yrs old or over.
